She Leads the Field is a new voice in field sport, a space dedicated to the women who train, shoot, handle dogs, and shape the landscape of our sport with skill, grit, and instinct.

For too long, field sport has been framed as a male domain. And yet, across the country, women are stepping onto the peg, handling champion dogs, running successful kennels, coaching the next generation, and carving out their own place in the countryside.

This blog exists for them and for every woman who looks at the field and thinks, Could that be me?

Every story has a starting point.
For She Leads the Field, that beginning is with Amanda, founder of Nordic Field & Sport.

In our first conversation, Amanda shares the journey behind building Nordic Field & Sport, the realities of navigating a traditionally male-dominated space, and the belief that sparked this platform: that women in the field deserve more than a footnote, they deserve to be heard, seen, and taken seriously.

Her story sets the foundation for everything that follows.

From there, we move where so many great days begin, with working dogs.
